We see you.

We’re fighting for you.

And from the bottom of our hearts—thank you. 💙

If this hits a little too close to home—it’s time to join PWEA. 💙

Your job shouldn’t leave you drained, stressed, and heading straight to bed the second you walk through the door. We all came into this profession with passion, purpose, and heart. Teaching shouldn’t take that away—it should fuel it.

Let’s fight for the support, respect, and balance every educator deserves.

We want to answer two burning questions we get time and time again:

What is VEA? What is NEA?

🟦 VEA stands for the Virginia Education Association. As a member of PWEA, you’re also a member of VEA—our state-level organization that advocates for educators across Virginia.

🟥 NEA stands for the National Education Association. When you join PWEA, you also become part of NEA, the largest union organization in the country with over 3 million members. That’s right—1 in every 100 Americans is an NEA member!

Your membership connects you to a powerful network fighting for better pay, stronger protections, and respect at every level—local, state, and national.

Some Friday humor to kick off the weekend! 😅📚

Teaching can be a lot—the endless grading, surprise assemblies, and somehow being expected to be a therapist, tech support, and snack provider all at once.

That’s why weekends matter. Take this time to decompress, focus on your people, enjoy some peace and quiet, and remember: you’ve earned every minute.

Standing with PWEA means standing up for fair pay, the respect every educator deserves, supported classrooms, real change, and ultimately—yourself. 💙

At PWEA, we’re not some distant organization—we’re real people, real teachers, facing the same daily struggles as you.

We’re in the classrooms, grading late, juggling too much, and still showing up.

We fight for fair rights because our livelihoods—and our families—depend on it. 💙

There are no bad kids—just happy little classroom challenges. 🎨✏️

Channeling our inner Bob Ross as we navigate spilled glue, mystery noises, and surprise tantrums with a smile. It’s not chaos… it’s creative expression. 😉

To wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week, let’s recognize 5 educators who helped change the education system for the better. These teachers continue to inspire us—not because they were perfect, but because they believed in what was possible.

At PWEA, we know change isn’t just a dream—it’s already happening, and we’re here to keep it moving forward.

Are you ready to be part of that change in Prince William County?

The teacher is the heart of the education system! 💙

Say it louder for the people in the back!

When you think back on school, you’re probably not remembering a specific worksheet or standardized test—you’re remembering the teachers who made you feel seen, heard, and inspired.

We are so much more than lesson plans, grades, and curriculum.

You are so much more.

At PWEA, Teacher Appreciation Day is every day. We're always celebrating your dedication, your hard work, and your unwavering commitment to education—not just this week, but all year long.

Thank you for everything you do. 💪📚
