The Islamic holy month of Ramadan is observed February 17-March 19, 2026, beginning at sundown on Tuesday, February 17. During this time, students of the Muslim faith may fast from sunrise to sunset for approximately 30 days and may require different accommodations.
The PWCS Food and Nutrition Department will offer a take-home lunch option during the month of March to support students who may be fasting during the school day.
Interested students can request a take-home lunch from cafeteria staff, in place of a standard lunch, during their assigned lunch period. Take-home lunches will not require refrigeration and can be transported home safely.
