So much to catch up on…this has been a great year of performances and opportunities for students of the studio, and for their teacher.
In the spring, I returned to the stage after a long break. I got to play a bucket list role - Ursula the Sea Witch in “The Little Mermaid.” I was also able to share the stage with 3 of my students and gained 2 more from that show.
Several other students were in their own productions: “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” “Peter Pan,” “Legally Blonde,” “Addams Family,” “Beetlejuice,” “Into the Woods,” and “Catch Me if You Can.” I think I got them all.
While these students were performing, I was hired to coach dialect for 2 shows at The Art Factory. I was also blessed to work with former students in these 2 shows who have grown into amazing performers. Such a gift!
And Sara had quite the adventure this summer getting into both Governor’s School for Theatre and Open Jar for Musical Theatre. Congrats girl!
And now it’s the start of school and the next round of music, shows, success, and fun. Have a great year all!

It's been a while since my last update so I thought I would catch up a little. Reflecting on my studio and where some of my kids are now, I find complete joy and awe in my students, and am humbled by the love and trust I have been given in the past and currently.
I know I wrote about one of my former students back in May/June, and about a current student as recently as June, but I have another former student that I am so so proud of and have neglected talking about on here. I don't write often enough about the talent that I am beyond blessed to work with. This young lady and I go way back to her middle school days. She worked hard, went through the ups and downs of life, and let her creativity blossom. She has since graduated from high school (it's been 2 years...sigh...my heart breaks, even in joy, whenever my kiddos fly the nest), moved across the seas to Liverpool to study music, and has continued her musical journey. She and her friend and co-musician have recently signed on to a management agency, and are becoming such a smash and noted in multiple publications and music sites as a hot new band. I didn't post about her signing, or her band, and have neglected to share her with everyone. Shame on me! Many of you already know her, but a lot of you don't. She was back in the states last year and we were supposed to catch up for coffee but never made it. Can't wait for her to visit again (hopefully either I can get up north or she can visit south) so I can give her a huge hug and let her know in person how proud I am of her. Nicoletta Kate , I know I've messaged you and told you before, but I am so so proud of you and all you are accomplishing. Keep it up girl and enjoy every moment. Love and hugs!
Here's a new song of her band "The Let Go." She's the one in green (one of my favorite colors!) LOL. Spread the love. Enjoy!

I just love sharing my students when given permission... Today I'd like to talk about my former student Danny. I have known him since he was just a young boy and shorter than me, before his voice change and his growth spurt. He's now much much taller than me and has a beautiful baritone voice. Over the years, I have had the distinct pleasure and honor of working with him and watching him grow not only into an incredibly talented performer but also into an amazing, kind-hearted, and caring individual who has a strong work ethic with a ton of passion. I became very close with his family, whom I adore and remain close with, and pretty much adopted him as a son. Some may remember that I was blessed by him last week with an email of his senior showcase from Montclair University. Well, this weekend his mom sent me the link to his new website, and I need to share to get his hard work out there.
Danny, again I know I said it in the other post, but I will say it again...I am so so proud of you and what you have accomplished over the years. Watching you grow into the young man and talent that you are has been such a blessing and brings tears to my eyes making me blubber like a fool. I cannot wait to see the road that unfolds for you and will be right there cheering you on. Thank you for the joy you have given and the joy you continue to bless me and others you meet with. Keep reaching for those stars kiddo! Hugs!
