Virginia Cooperative Extension Nutrition Classes for Families
The Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering Eating Smart, Being Active, a free nutrition education series designed for caregivers of children ages 12 and under.
Participants will learn:
• Healthy recipes and snack ideas
• Food safety tips
• Fun ways to stay active and incorporate exercise
• Strategies for stretching your family's food budget
As an added benefit, participants who complete the series are eligible to receive free cookware. This session's completion incentive is a crock pot!

Marshall Elementary’s Back-to-School Night 📚
Mark your calendars! Marshall Elementary's Back-to-School Night will be held on Thursday, October 1. Meet your child's teacher, learn about classroom expectations, and discover what your student will be learning this year.
Event Schedule:
• 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten
• 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM: 1st & 2nd Grades
• 7:00 PM - 7:45 PM: 3rd, 4th & 5th Grades

🍎 Nourishing the Community
A partnership between We Are CASA and the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) that helps connect individuals and families with free food resources.

🚚 CAFB Mobile Markets at PWC Libraries
The Capital Area Food Bank, in collaboration with Prince William Public Libraries, will host Mobile Food Markets at three Prince William County library locations this October. Free food will be available to community members in need.

Kickoff Event is on Wednesday, October 7. See the flyer for details and sign up to join us! Enjoy pizza, learn about the program if you're new, or reconnect and volunteer if you're already a WatchD.O.G.S. pro.

WatchD.O.G.S. volunteer sign-ups are now open for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

⭐ Can't commit to a full day? No problem! Half-day volunteers are welcome and appreciated.
