Effective September 30, 2024, driver privilege card applicants who complete driver education through driving school are required to complete a final road skills test administered by the DMV. This means that if you have driver privilege card or permit, you will not be eligible for a waiver program.

Effective July 15, 2024, All DTSDs (Adult waiver) certificates will be mailed to the DMV for processing by the schools. DTSDs will no longer be processed in DMV customer service centers (CSC). The DMV will process student's license and mail it him/her upon receipt of the driver education completion certificate. If the student's license cannot be processed. a letter will be mailed directly to the student.
