I’m a woman who has spent decades building things.

Businesses.
A career.
A family.
A life.

I’ve owned a salon.
I’ve reinvented myself more than once.
I’ve written books.
I’ve built businesses from the ground up.
I’ve created success that, from the outside, looks like I should have it all figured out.

But here’s what nobody tells you about success.

Sometimes you reach the life you worked so damn hard to create…

and realize you’ve changed.

For years, I was a people pleaser.

I worried about what everyone else thought.
I put other people’s feelings and needs ahead of my own.
I said yes when I wanted to say no.
I questioned myself.
I wondered if I was good enough.
I made myself smaller to keep the peace.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something:

I had spent so much time creating a life that worked for everyone else…

I had to finally ask myself if it was working for me.

What used to matter doesn’t anymore.
What worked 20 years ago doesn’t work now.
And the woman who built that life may not be the woman who wants to live it for the next 20.

I know what it feels like to stand at a crossroads and ask,

“Okay… what the hell is next?”

Not because I failed.

Because I grew.

And that’s why I’m writing Reinvention After 50.

Because women like us are not done.

We are not irrelevant.
We are not fading into the background.
And we are sure as hell not starting over from nothing.

We are taking everything we’ve lived, learned, survived, built, loved and lost…

and deciding what comes next.

Including what we want.

Not what everyone else needs from us.

That’s the conversation I want to have.

Not about getting older.

About becoming more fully yourself.

After two months of nurturing myself, slowing down, relaxing and resting in Italy, I’m stepping into RESET season….

September through December is my time to step back and look at what’s next.

If I were planning my next move, a reinvention, or even an exit, I’d use these months to get quiet and get honest.

What still makes sense?
What doesn’t?
What am I ready to let go of?
And what do I really want next?

You don’t always need a new strategy.

Sometimes you just need the space to hear yourself think.
