These two things can be true at the same time:

1️⃣ You can love your child more than anything in the world.
2️⃣ Loving your child doesn’t automatically make you the best person to teach them when they’re struggling.

That doesn’t make you a bad parent. Sometimes the best support you can give your child is bringing in someone who knows how to spot the gap, explain it differently, and help them build confidence without turning homework into another fight at home.

Differentiation doesn’t always mean creating a completely different lesson for every student.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as standing a little closer to the student who needs help staying focused, giving another student more structure, or changing how a student engages with the lesson without changing what they’re expected to learn.

Can a personality test really tell you whether you're in the wrong job?

One researcher thought so. She enjoyed her work and was good at it, but when her DISC results showed she was an “I” (Influence), she worried she didn’t belong in a data-heavy role.

Jeff Scott asked her two questions:
Are you doing well?
Do you like the job?

Her answer to both was yes. So why should she switch careers? What she needed to recognize was that her workday might look different from a colleague’s. While someone else might happily code for hours, she might need a break to talk and connect with people.

That’s the point Jeff makes in this clip: your DISC style can help you understand how you work, but it shouldn’t put you in a box. Have you ever felt like your personality didn’t match the kind of work you do?
