Hi! It’s been a minute since I’ve introduced myself!
For those of you who are new here, welcome! And for those who have been following along for a while, thank you for being part of this journey!
I’m Kara, the founder of Tiny Steps to Parenthood! I am a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), childbirth educator, and most importantly, a mom of two! 👧🧒
My passion for supporting growing families began long before Tiny Steps to Parenthood came to life. I started my nursing career as a postpartum nurse, spent a few years working in pediatrics, and eventually found my way back to mother-baby nursing, where I also became a childbirth educator and IBCLC. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through some of the most beautiful, challenging, emotional, and transformative moments of their lives.
I created Tiny Steps to Parenthood because I believe no parent should have to navigate pregnancy, birth, feeding, or postpartum alone.
Whether you’re preparing to welcome your first baby, navigating breastfeeding challenges, figuring out pumping or bottle feeding, or simply looking for a community of other parents who get it, I’m here for you.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to two incredible kids who remind me every day that parenthood is beautiful, messy, unpredictable, and one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences in life. And even with all the knowledge and professional experience in the world, nothing quite prepares you for the learning curve of becoming a parent!
My goal has always been to create a space where parents feel heard, supported, and never judged. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting, and every family deserves care that meets them where they are. ♥️
I’m so happy you’re here, and I look forward to continuing to grow this little community, one tiny step at a time.
With love,
Kara 🤍
