Tommy Tansley had a heart the size of Division B and left a lasting impression on myself and all the New Jersey Forest Fire Service Section B-5 Fire Wardens and Firefighters with his dedication, humor, knowledge and kindness. This picture I took on a Major in 2022 really shows his love for the fire service and the Pinelands. Rest easy Chief, you will be greatly missed.

Never Forget

Today we remember Palmyra Firefighter Lawrence Betty, who lost his life during the suppression efforts of a multiple alarm structure fire at the Callahan Chemical Company located at South Broad and Filmore Streets in Palmyra Borough on August 20, 1980. Never forget.

SHOP UPDATE:

First things first the books are open again for helmet repaints and other services. We’ve opened up a bunch of room for more work.

CCI Shop day September 19th 2026
- The entire ACH crew will be in attendance at the shop day at Capital Cities Shop in CT. We are super excited for this event and hope to see a lot of you guys there and interact with so many of you as well!

Apparel and Decals
- We are working on an apparel order for shirts, hats and slaps. We’ve been getting numerous requests for this so we hope you’ll like the new designs that are coming! There will be some apparel with us at the shop day as well.

We’re continuing to work on helmets while also preparing for the shop day and all the apparel coming. We don’t forget about our main purpose of refurbishing helmets which Is why we’ll be firing on all cylinders for the next few weeks.

As always conversions that are also getting paint get sent to CCI before we paint them. We don’t do conversions in our shop but we do get them done through CCI. Custom retro brass would get done through RKL who is the master of the custom brass installations. Again we’d send it to him to do then get it back and do our thing!

Central Jersey Fire Conference is officially coming back!

The board hasn't stopped working since this year's conference wrapped up. We've been reading every comment, every suggestion, and every bit of feedback you gave us. We're keeping what worked, fixing what didn't, and adding even more to make 2027 bigger, smoother, and packed with outstanding training.

If you thought Year One was good... just wait.

So throw it on the kitchen calendar, write it on the whiteboard, tattoo it on your chauffeur... whatever you've gotta do.
