Hello, this is South Man Elementary. This is an important notice regarding early release today, Monday, June 1st for South Man Elementary Students

Due to road construction at the high school bridge, all elementary students will be released early today.

Students will ride the bus home with the middle school and high school students. Elementary buses will begin picking up students at South Man Elementary School between 2:50 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Please plan accordingly for your child's arrival home, as bus schedules may vary slightly due to the adjusted transportation arrangements.

Good evening, this is South Man Elementary School. We wanted to remind our families that our annual Spring Sing will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27th at 1:00 pm.

Every song tells a story, and we cannot wait to share this final chapter of the school year with you. Join us as our students celebrate a year full of learning, laughter, and memories through music.

Attention 4th Grade Parents!

This is a friendly reminder that baby pictures and congratulatory messages for the SMES Yearbook are due no later than 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19th.

Please send them digitally (Messenger or email) or send a hard copy with your child to school no later than 9:00 AM on Tuesday.

We must submit our yearbook order Wednesday morning in order to receive delivery before school is out for the summer.

Also, if you have not ordered a 2026 SMES yearbook, orders will continue to be accepted through Tuesday, May 26th. We have not ordered extras, so please do not wait!

Good evening, this is South Man Elementary School. We wanted to remind our families that tomorrow, Monday, April 27, 2026, our students in Kindergarten, first and second grades will begin their end of the year i-Ready assessments in Reading and Math.

Please stress to your child to do their best on these exams. The results from these assessments will assist the staff in setting goals for your child.

Good evening, this is South Man Elementary School.

We would like to remind you that tomorrow, Monday, April 13th, is Spring Picture Day at South Man Elementary School. Picture packets were sent home with students. If you need additional information about package pricing or access to online ordering links, please visit our school page or individual classroom pages.

Also, our 3rd and 4th grade students will begin the end-of-year i-Ready benchmark assessments in Math and Reading tomorrow, which will continue throughout the week. Please remind your child to get a good night’s sleep and to do their very best.

Finally, on Friday, April 17th, the Buffalo Creek Public Library will serve as the host site for Logan County Kindergarten and Pre-K registration for the upcoming school year. They will be registering students from 9 am until 2:30 pm. Please make plans to attend if you would like for your child to attend school in Kindergarten or Pre-K next year.

If your child will be five years old by June 30th, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten. Please do not wait to enroll your child to ensure placement at your desired school. If your child is currently enrolled in Pre-K,

Good evening! This is South Man Elementary with an important announcement.

We apologize for the last-minute change, but due to the updated weather report, South Man Elementary School will move the egg hunt to Thursday, March 26. Egg hunt times will remain the same but will be posted on all of our pages and a copy was sent home today.

Each classroom would greatly appreciate donations of pre-filled eggs. If you are able to contribute, please send them to school by Wednesday, March 25 by 4:00 pm.
