Our officer group competed in a team challenge called Collaboration Connection. Judges are looking for teams that work together, encourage each other, communicate well with each other, and use critical thinking skills to complete a task. They competed against 86 other teams and came home with third place. What an accomplishment!!! Our officers are Carly Russell, Zoey Lavy, Gabi Bicic and not pictured Kanyon Vandiver and Addy McNabb (they had to leave yesterday so are not in this picture!) Way to go guys!! The Bears are proud of you!!!!!

National Beta Convention has come to a close and we are headed home! We have had such an amazing week here in Nashville....

National Beta Convention has come to a close and we are headed home! We have had such an amazing week here in Nashville. Not every competitor brought home an award, but just earning the right to be at Nationals is an honor. I wish everyone could attend a National convention because you would be blown away by all the talent that comes to convention. It is amazing to see and judges can only choose ten winners in each category, even though all may be worthy of winning. We grow every year we come and we get new ideas to take back with us to improve upon for next year!! We are already making plans for next year’s Living Literature and have chosen the book we are doing! Can’t wait to see it all come together! These kiddos are bringing home individual wins at National Beta Convention!! Carly Russell placed 8th in Language Arts, Gabi Bicic placed second in Science and Zoey Lavy brought home 6th in on-site drawing!! Great job guys!!! You make Bear Nation proud!!!

Congratulations to Gabbi Bicic and Carly Russell. They both placed in the top twenty students for their academic testing. Gabbi placed for Science and Carly for Language Arts. This means they will be competing onsite in Nashville in June at National Convention. We are hoping for some top five awards for these two. Very proud of them👏🎉
