The biggest misconception of youth baseball is parents think lessons teach kids baseball. The kids are over-lessoned and the baseball IQ suffers. They aren't playing enough sandlot wiffle ball anymore. That's where they learn to play loose, have fun and learn the game without parents hollering at them. There's too many lessons, too much pressure and not enough fun. And we're wondering why 73% quit at 13.
