🐣 Big news from our TK classroom!

For spring science, our TKers incubated real eggs from Blue Heron Farm! 🚜✨

Over three whole weeks, our little scientists were busy:
🔦 Candling the eggs to see what was happening inside
📝 Journaling their daily observations
🔬 Studying the life cycle of chickens
🤞 Hoping very hard for healthy arrivals

The waiting paid off!

They were absolutely thrilled to welcome 4 beautiful chicks into the world! 🐥💛

Thank you so much for the eggs, Farmer Rachel! This experience was pure magic! ✨👩‍🌾

Para la clase de ciencias de primavera, nuestros pequeños de TK incubaron huevos reales de Blue Heron Farm. 🚜✨

Durante tres semanas completas, nuestros pequeños científicos estuvieron muy ocupados:
🔦 Observando los huevos a contraluz para ver lo que ocurría en su interior
📝 Escribiendo en sus diarios de observación
🔬 Estudiando el ciclo de vida de las gallinas
🤞 ¡Y deseando con fuerza que llegaran sanos los pollitos!

¡La espera valió la pena!

¡Estaban emocionadísimos de dar la bienvenida al mundo a 4 hermosos pollitos! 🐥💛

Being at school each day helps students build routines, confidence, and strong learning habits. March's average attendance was 93%! Our goal is 95%, and if we meet that goal, we'll celebrate big time. Please help ensure your child is at school when he/she is healthy. We love seeing our Husky Pups show up ready to learn! 🐾

📖 Reading Month in Action! 🐾
Our Husky Pups have been diving into books and building their love of reading all month long!

From engaging read-alouds to classroom literacy challenges and special guest readers, students are strengthening skills and discovering the joy of stories.

At Mammoth Elementary, we believe reading opens doors — and our students are walking through them with confidence. A huge thanks to our PTO for supporting another great month full of reading activities.

Here are some photos of 4th graders who all chose read to self today in order to close the gap on our 1,500,000 word reading goal for March Reading Month! They are at 1,300,000 today. Will they get to their goal by tomorrow???
