Do you want to catch first chair on the Mountain this fall? Or hike the beautiful Sierra Nevadas? All while taking classes and investing in your education after high school? If you or anyone you know might like to ski, board, and go to college in California, please pass along this information! The South Gateway Student Apartments provide housing for the Mammoth Lakes branch of Cerro Coso Community College, which "provides educational opportunities for the widely separated desert, mountain, and valley communities within a sweeping 18,000 mile, four county, region of eastern California." In Mammoth you can become a Licensed Vocational (Practical) Nurse, get an Associates Degree in Kinesiology, Arts and Humanities, Human (Social) Services, Math and Science, Social/Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, and Studio Arts. You can earn priority transfer status with gen eds and major courses for UC, CSU, and many other schools in the West. You can become a registered EMT in one semester! The town of Mammoth provides free local transportation, multiple town and resort job opportunities, and views like these. We are operated by the non-profit Mammoth Lakes Foundation, which serves to support higher education and provide cultural enrichment opportunities in the Eastern Sierra.
