Please join us in welcoming Rye Neck's new staff members. Our new hires consist of teachers, teaching assistants, school psychologists, a school nurse, and clerical staff, including 2 alumni who are joining us as professionals and a teacher who has returned to Rye Neck after some time off.

They spent the day meeting with District administrators, touring the community, and learning about what makes Rye Neck so special. We are excited to have them on board!

One more week until our buildings are full of students again!

From the crystal clear skies to the inspirational speeches, Wednesday night's graduation was nothing short of spectacular.

We were honored to welcome back Class of '16 Alum Conner Sexton, who stressed the importance of community and encouraged the graduates to challenge themselves, try new things and be open to change.

The Rye Neck Teacher's Association Award is the only award kept a secret until graduation. It is voted on by the teachers and recognizes a senior who possesses the qualities the Rye Neck teachers hold dear: motivation and self-direction, an energetic commitment to learning, a belief in the value of service, and an understanding of the role that leadership plays in the success of the group. This year's recipient was Paul Cravinho.

Finally, when it came time for the class officers to announce the Senior Class Gift, they embraced the altruistic nature their class is known for and split their gift among two organizations very near to their hearts: the , who has worked with our students on mental wellness since middle school and , a local pediatric cancer foundation established in honor of Mikey Maffei, an student we lost last year after a courageous battle with cancer.

Congratulations, Class of '26! Go out there and do great things.

"You must do the thing you think you cannot do" - Eleanor Roosevelt.

This quote was the thread through yesterday's 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony, which recognized students not only for their academic achievements, but also their accomplishments on the athletic fields, in the art and band room, on the stage, and through their character development and civic responsibility. Speeches from students and administrators all echoed the idea of challenging oneself to face fears head on.

Yesterday's ceremony also marked the end of 8th Grade Team Leader Cathy Toolan's time at Rye Neck, as she was honored by students and staff ahead of her upcoming retirement.

Congratulations, RNHS Class of 2030! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next.

The Senior Walk Through is one of our newest, but most beloved traditions: the senior class visits each of our schools, where they are cheered on by students, hugged by old teachers, and reminded of their time in those hallways as we get closer to graduation.

Congratulations to Social Studies teacher Amanda D’Addona and Music teacher Tom Galgano on being recognized as a 2026 Outstanding Educator by Shelley B. Mayer. Amanda and Tom joined the other 16 recipients at an event with Senator Mayer this past Monday night. According to the senator, the “teachers, counselors, and school professionals, who were nominated by their principals and superintendents, represent the very best of public education in New York” and we are so very proud to have two Rye Neck teachers among those selected.
