Our FBLA chapter attended Arkansas District IV conference today. We had 10 members place in their respective categories. These students qualify to compete at the state level in April. We are so proud of all of our members!

Addison Beene - 1st place in Introduction to Business Communication
Charity Dexter - 4th place in Introduction to Business Procedure
Hope Dexter - 3rd place in Future Business Educator
Dez’arae Dismuke - 1st place in Introduction to Retail & Merchandising
Creed Erick - 4th place in Introduction to FBLA
Harmony Franks- 4th place in Human Resources Management
Carli Gragg - 4th place in Introduction to Public Speaking
Jamarian Harris - 6th place in Introduction to Marketing Concepts
Nora Hill- 2nd place in Introduction to Business Presentation
Marke’la Hughes - 6th place in Healthcare Administration

Our chapter is proud to have 17 members competing in various objective tests this morning for FBLA competitions. We will learn the results of their tests in February at district conference. We wish our FBLA members the best of luck!

Congratulations to our members of the month, Jaxson and Kali! Jaxson and Kali volunteered at the Malvern Boys and Girls Club to help run flag football games over the past few months. They worked at every game this season! We are so proud of their community service and willingness to help. Thank you, Jaxson and Kali!

We’ve had several FBLA members help out with the Boys and Girls Club flag football league over the last six weeks. They served as referee, kept score and time, worked the concession stand, and make goodie bags and banners for the teams. We are so proud of our members for helping out in the community!

My Introduction to Business classes at MHS are about to begin a new unit about the job seeking process. I am looking for some local businesses (in or around Malvern) that would be willing to share a copy of their job application with me so my students can practice filling out real job applications in class. If you are planning to attend the MHS football game tonight, remember to bring $5 cash for a program! This week, FBLA members will be at the gate selling programs to raise money for our FBLA chapter. For each program you buy, part of the money goes towards sending our students to district and state conferences where they can participate in competitions, network with local business owners, and learn more about business careers! Thank you for supporting MHS FBLA! Go leopards!

Our FBLA group was so honored to be awarded the Silver Champion Chapter award for our members’ hard work during the 24-25 school year. Thank you to all of our sponsors that helped support our chapter this past year. We are looking forward to another great school year!
