You guys should do a Facebook photo album that a tour of the entire campus. Inside buildings,classes dorms, and dinning hall. It would be a nice nostalgic walk down memory lane.

The Phelps School has announced the return of Trey Morin as the Director of Athletics and Basketball Program Director for the Lions.

Morin returns to Malvern following two seasons at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin, TX. While at St. Andrews, the program obtained the highest seed in the Southwest Preparatory School Tournament since 2008 and won playoff games in back-to-back years for the first time in program history.

"In his time at Phelps from May of 2019 through June of 2021, Morin was able to continue to advance our basketball program.” Mr. McGeorge commented. “He achieved much success, including a combined record of 36-18 and a PAISSA Semi-Final appearance in his first season.”

While leading the Lions, Morin was responsible for the recruitment of many players that are now at the Division I level, including Chas Kelley (Boston College), Sam Onu (Memphis/FGCU), Isaiah Miranda (North Carolina State), and Devin Butler (VMI).

Additionally, Morin was able to recruit and aid a number of students in attending some of the top colleges in the country, including Jackson Piotrowski (UChicago), Logan Shanahan and John Coppilino IV (Emory University), Caelin Peters (Connecticut College), and Henry Rovillard (Bowdoin College).

Prior to his time at Phelps, Morin served as an assistant coach at Bates College in the esteemed NESCAC conference, overseeing the recruitment of high-academic athletes and responsible for scouting and game plan implementation. Morin has also served as an assistant coach at Colby-Sawyer College and Bradford Christian Academy, as well as the Co-Director of the New England Playmakers AAU program.

As a four-year player and two-year Captain at Salem State University, Morin started in over 40 games and was a part of two NCAA tournament teams in which the team won over 75 games.

Along with the Athletic Director and Director of Basketball responsibilities, Coach Morin will live on campus with his wife Katherine and their infant son, Maverick. "My family and I are elated to return home to Phelps. I look forward to arriving on campus and continuing to advance the basketball program and athletics as a whole."

Our basketball team will be playing in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) Semi-Finals this week! The game will be played at The George School, so we need to bring our pride out to support! Please join if you can!
