Congratulations to Rudy Morr and Sean Miller, our 2022 Central Illinois CPCU Society Chapter annual scholarship recipients!

Rudy Morr is a General Finance and Risk Management and Insurance dual major at Illinois State University. Rudy has been involved with the Chicago chapter, as well as the Society through the In2Risk22 conference. She was one of the recipients of the CPCU Society In2Risk scholarship to attend the conference with all expenses paid. She enjoyed the opportunity to meet CPCU members from Central Illinois and the rest of the country along with gaining a wealth of knowledge at the conference. Rudy has an impressive resume filled with distinguished Finance awards and leadership activities within many student organizations. We’re excited to get to know Rudy more through Central Illinois chapter and student events!

Sean Miller is a Finance and Management Information Systems dual major at Millikin University. Sean was a winner of the 2022 Student Paper Competition as part of the In2Risk22 conference. In this competition, he wrote a detailed report on the current status, trends, and opportunities related to the field of aerospace and space insurance. The final three paper authors presented their reports to a group of CPCU and In2Risk conference judges. Sean has an impressive resume filled with student and academic achievement awards. He also has outstanding work and leadership experience in the technology and marketing sectors of the industry. We’re excited to get to know Sean through involvement in the insurance industry!

We are happy to announce the Central Illinois CPCU Society Chapter has earned the CPCU Society’s Platinum Circle of Excellence distinction again for 2021!

The Circle of Excellence Recognition Program awards each chapter for its efforts to achieve benchmarks in chapter performance. Platinum recognition reflects the chapter’s commitment to achieving key initiatives of the Society’s strategic plan.

This was no easy feat particularly with the challenges we still faced navigating the Covid-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, our chapter navigated through the rapidly changing conditions to support the expectations and needs of our members through the collective efforts of our volunteer organization. The COE qualification program for chapters remains the same for 2022, but there are some exciting changes that will push us to grow and evolve as a chapter planned for 2023! Stay tuned!

The Central Illinois CPCU Society Chapter has earned the Platinum distinction ever since it was introduced in 2017 and that is all because of the engagement of people like you who are part of this amazing chapter!
