📅 Attention Leopard Family! We wanted to share an important calendar update following last Friday's school closure due to inclement weather.

The make-Up day for Friday, August 21, 2026 will be held on Friday, February 12, 2027. Please make note of this on your calendars!

We are so grateful that our community stayed safe and that damage to our facilities was minor. A huge thank you to our incredible maintenance team who went straight to work to ensure a safe return for our students, and to our Chartwells staff who worked quickly to make sure our kids would have food ready to go on Monday morning.

These important people in our community made sure that we were able to have a smooth opening today!

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Entergy crews who worked 48 hours straight to restore power and clear the roads for safe bus travel. That kind of dedication does not go unnoticed and we are so thankful for them!

If you see a Malvern School District maintenance team member, a Chartwells employee, or an Entergy crew member this week, please take a moment to thank them.

They showed up for our community when it mattered most. 🧡🖤🐆

The Malvern School District will be closed on Friday, August 21, 2026. We have downed power lines that prevent our buses from getting out and we will have no power at Malvern Elementary until later in the day.

🧡 What a way to start the morning at Malvern Elementary School! 👸

Our Little Leopards got a very special surprise visit today when Miss Arkansas stopped by to greet our students! High fives, big smiles, and so much excitement as they walked in the building! It was an absolutely wonderful start to the day and a memory our kids will not forget anytime soon!

Thank you to Miss Arkansas for taking the time to visit our school and pour some extra joy into our Leopard Family today! We are so grateful! 🐆🧡🖤

Congratulations to Malvern Middle School's Teachers of the Month, Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper! They are two educators who proved that being a great teacher goes far beyond the classroom. Read their story below and give them some well-deserved love in the comments!

And a special shoutout to Principal Ben Dial for making the Teacher of the Month recognition something truly special with those custom MMS gis.

🥋🧡 MMS TEACHERS OF THE MONTH! 🧡🥋

Sometimes being a great teacher means going far beyond the classroom—and our Teachers of the Month, Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper, showed us exactly what that looks like!

During our district startup day for professional development, one of our teachers became stranded in interstate traffic for hours and eventually ran out of gas. With temperatures climbing, she was stuck in the heat and unable to make it to our professional development with the rest of the district staff.

Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper came to the rescue! They took gas to our stranded teacher so she could get back on the road, get out of the heat, and join the rest of us for the day.

That’s the Leopard Dojo way: look out for one another, step up when someone needs help, and make sure nobody gets left behind. 🐆🥋

We are proud to recognize Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper as our MMS Teachers of the Month! Thank you for demonstrating the kind of respect, effort, and growth we want to see from every member of our Leopard family.
