Important Announcement from MCT: We have some exciting changes to announce!

Since 2005, our volunteers are proud to have helped more than 15,000 professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area through job transition so they’re not alone. Now, going into our 3RD DECADE, it’s time to refresh and strengthen the program. MCT will officially become a “regional program by Penn State Alumni Career Services for alumni and community members.” What does that mean for you?

Most things will stay the same:
· Monthly events to support those in job transition with speakers and networking opportunities
· Familiar faces like Amy, Kevin, Vishal and Bill will still greet you
· All MCT events will still be free to attend – for the entire community; not just PSU alums

A few things will change:
· Monthly meetings will now be on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, allowing everyone to enjoy their weekend.
· We’ll have a mix of virtual speaker events and in-person networking events. For example, January, February and March will be virtual meetings, followed by an in-person social networking event in April.
· Future email communications will come from Penn State, rather than our MCT email, and our website will change in April

Some things will improve being part of Penn State Alumni Career Services:
· We’ll benefit from access to speakers and other robust resources of the university to deliver even greater value to our community.
· The operational workload for our volunteers will decrease as the program will be led by a very capable Cassie Rosas-Carson, Assistant Director, Alumni Career Services along with our local MCT Steering Committee, with plans to replicate MCT in Pittsburgh, furthering our mission

We are excited for this new collaboration that will build upon and grow our 20-year legacy of helping professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area navigate job transition so they’re not alone.”

Our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday January 21st. Information and the link to register is on our website
