Choir Announcements: Week 3

Hey everybody!

I wanted to share some updates and some reminders with you!

1). By Friday, August 28th is the deadline to join sight reading factory for senior high students (9-12). (I will post the instructions to joining sightreadingfactory.com).

2). By Wednesday, September 2nd is the deadline to join sight reading factory for junior high students (7-8). (I will post the instructions to joining sightreadingfactory.com).

3). For SH Choir ONLY: we will NOT be singing the National Anthem at Friday’s game on the 28th of August. I will update you soon with another date for us to sing the national anthem.

4). For those of you who are signing up for All-Region, I will send out a rehearsal schedule and more info later this week.

How to join Sight-Reading Factory

Go to sightreadingfactory.com
Click log in in the top right corner
It will ask you to log in, click sign-up at the very bottom
It will redirect you to a sign up page, at the top, click sign up with student code.
Type in code: “9wesr5” and then click redeem.
Then, it will ask you to select one of three options: 1) I am 12 or younger, 2) I am 12 or older, or 3) I already have an account. (Option 1 will most likely require the use of a parent email. Option 2 will have you create your own account using your email (PLEASE use school email so that it is easy to remember) and will have you create your password (PLEASE remember this!))

Choir Announcements: Week 1

Hey everybody!

I apologize for this being later in the week. I wanted to share some reminders with you!

1). Tomorrow, Friday, August 14th is the deadline to have forms turned in from the syllabus. If you misplaced the syllabus, this is available on the respective Google Classroom for each choir. ( I will be gracious and allow forms to be turned in through Tuesday with no penalty to grade. After Tuesday, I will still need forms turned in but it will result in a deduction of the grade for having forms turned in).

2). Also, tomorrow, Friday, August 14th is the deadline to join Google Classroom. Unless your student does not have a magnetcove email address yet, I have sent a google invite to everyone via their school email ([email protected]). If you need the Google Classroom codes, please email Mr. Burns .[email protected].

3). For SH Choir ONLY: Two weeks from tomorrow, Friday, August 28th, Senior High Choir will be singing the national anthem at the first home Senior High Football game vs. Gurdon. We will sing the national anthem from the press box just before kickoff. Students need to meet Mr. Burns at the stairs leading to the pressbox at 6:35 PM. At 6:40PM, we will go up to the press box to get set up and warm-up. Attire will be normal attire for a football game. I am not setting a dress code for this as we will not be seen.

Hey guys! This is a reminder that our choir concert is THIS Thursday evening at 7 PM in MCHS Auditorium! Here is more info below:

When?: Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 @ 7 PM (Students should arrive by 6:40 PM).

Where?: MCHS Auditorium

What?: Spring Choir Concert

Dress: Casual wear (something black and orange-school colors, T-Shirts, jeans, pants, etc.)
