Arkansas State University Three Rivers is a comprehensive two-year college located in Malvern. The Three Rivers in our name have significant meaning for us.

Founded in 1969, ASU Three Rivers continually identifies and addresses the changing learning needs of the communities it serves. Arkansas State University Three Rivers (ASUTR) is a comprehensive, public, two-year institution of higher education in Malvern, Arkansas, providing accessible, high-value associate degrees and certificates in a quality academic environment that is focused on both student

success and the economic development needs of the communities it serves. They represent rivers located in our service area – the Saline, Ouachita and Caddo Rivers. The middle river in the logo, which is the longest, is representative of the Ouachita River, as it has been a part of the college’s rich history for more than half a century.

💻 Learning beyond the classroom!
Yesterday, students from our Network Infrastructure class had the opportunity to visit the Dillard’s Fulfillment Center in Maumelle for a behind-the-scenes look at technology in action.
Students toured the fulfillment center and then learned how Dillard’s is leveraging artificial intelligence, RFID technology, and 2D barcodes to improve business operations. It was a great opportunity to see how the skills and technology they’re learning about in class are being used in the real world!
We love seeing our students connect classroom learning with real-world careers and technology! 💻✨

A big thank you to the Arkansas Academy of Computing for making this experience possible and to Dillard’s for welcoming our students and sharing their expertise.
And a special thank you to ASU Three Rivers Athletic Director Kelsey Rhine for helping transport our students—we couldn’t have made this trip happen without her! 👏

We're honored to celebrate Eric Gaither as the recipient of the 2026 Arkansas State University Three Rivers Outstanding Alumni Award. Thank you for representing your alma mater with pride and distinction.

He has given back to ASUTR students, taking time to share his research passion and to encourage them to find their own. He implemented programming for the Arkansas Protect Act. Gaither serves on many committees and projects to better communities and further research, such as: Apprenticeship Experience of Justice -Involved Individuals in Arkansas: Barriers to Success, Arkansas Inmates at Risk of Su***de report, and Improving Client Services Through Science & Practice: Assessing the Arkansas Division of Community Correction's Reentry Program, which was published in the American Parole and Probation Association.
