The Malvern School District will be closed on Friday, August 21, 2026. We have downed power lines that prevent our buses from getting out and we will have no power at Malvern Elementary until later in the day.

🔥🥋 LEOPARD DOJO: TRAIN FOR SUCCESS! 🥋🔥
Last year, we discovered something pretty powerful: when students can see themselves making progress, leveling up, and working toward a goal, they get excited about success. Our Virtual Video Game and “Level Up” program had students pushing themselves to move up the ranks—and we want to build on that momentum this year.

This year, we're taking it to the Leopard Dojo. 🐆

Students will have opportunities throughout the year to earn raffle entries and rank up through our Dojo by demonstrating effort, growth, achievement, positive choices, and commitment to success. Those raffle entries can mean some pretty exciting prizes at the end of the year!

And we want our students to be able to wear the Dojo with pride. We hope as many MMS students as possible get a shirt or hoodie so they can join our staff in wearing Leopard Dojo gear on Thursdays! 🥋🐆

But here's the best part: you don't have to be an MMS student to support our students.

Parents, grandparents, family members, alumni, friends, community members, and anyone who wants to help our Leopards succeed can participate. Every purchase helps put resources directly into our Student Success Incentive Program.
This isn't just a shirt.

It's a way to tell a student: “I see your hard work. Keep going. Keep leveling up.”

And, we have two great options. We have the standard tee for these hot months at the beginning and end of the school year. But we are also offering the same design on a hoodie for those colder months and ballgame nights!

🥋🧡 MMS TEACHERS OF THE MONTH! 🧡🥋

Sometimes being a great teacher means going far beyond the classroom—and our Teachers of the Month, Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper, showed us exactly what that looks like!

During our district startup day for professional development, one of our teachers became stranded in interstate traffic for hours and eventually ran out of gas. With temperatures climbing, she was stuck in the heat and unable to make it to our professional development with the rest of the district staff.

Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper came to the rescue! They took gas to our stranded teacher so she could get back on the road, get out of the heat, and join the rest of us for the day.

That’s the Leopard Dojo way: look out for one another, step up when someone needs help, and make sure nobody gets left behind. 🐆🥋

We are proud to recognize Mrs. Rash and Ms. Harper as our MMS Teachers of the Month! Thank you for demonstrating the kind of respect, effort, and growth we want to see from every member of our Leopard family.

🍽️ MMS Library is officially open for business as a “restaurant”! 📚

Mrs. Scarbrough's and Mr. Davis's classes stopped by the library today for a Book Tasting, and it did not disappoint! Mr. Evans transformed the library into a restaurant, and teachers "served" students books from all kinds of genres for a literary sampling.

The best part? Hearing what students had to say afterward:

💬 "I liked how I could try new books. I never read manga until now and I love it."
💬 "I like that we read different types of books."
💬 "I like the fact that you brought books I like. Before today I thought I didn't like to read. Thank you."

That last one says it all. This is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

The good vibes are definitely flowing at MMS!

We are so grateful for the local businesses and community members who send us these thoughtful surprises! They mean so much to our teachers and remind us just how lucky we are to have such a supportive community. 🖤🧡

Our teachers felt extra loved today at MMS!

A huge shoutout to Pritchard Cleaning for the delicious welcome-back cake, made by KB’s Love by the Pound, and to the Dyers for treating our staff to Starbucks! 🍰☕

These little surprises mean SO much to our staff and are such a fun reminder of how special it is to have a community that supports our school. We are feeling extra spoiled and very grateful! 🖤🧡
