It has been a very busy start to our school year this September. Our students are all settling into their new school routines. Our Toddlers are spending their time on self-care, care of their classroom environment and getting used to being at school; our Children's House students are working on their grace & courtesy along while working within their classroom ground rules and exploring a lot of new works on the shelves each week; and lastly our Lower Elementary students have embraced the demands and expectations of their more academic curriculum... and loving it!

opened by Maria Montessori in Rome.

The Italian physician and educator opened her first school in Rome on this day in 1907
