We continued learning about art today and started making our own "Process-Oriented Art Idea" books. I posed for a picture for one of our students as shown below. (I think she ran out of time when she began to draw my hair!)

Adventures in Early Childhood Education Summer Camp ‘25 is a wrap. Maritza, Ellie, and I had the pleasure of camping with Michael, Ella, Ashley, Marissa, and Brooklyn this week. What an outstanding group of students!

Day 3 of Adventures in Early Childhood Education—Squishy Sensory Play! Our crew was so into making play dough, oobleck, and slime, that we ran out of time for Marvelous Math. We also enjoyed cinnamon rolls made in the mini-waffle maker. We have an awesome group of campers who jump into our daily experiences, enjoying learning and our time together.

Another fun day of Adventures in Early Childhood Education summer camp at KEC - Kishwaukee Education Consortium. Today we played games and exercised outside (sorry no pics), cooked S'mores inside (no pics again--busy roasting marshmallows and eating!), and created with Magnificent Manipulatives. We learned how important playing with manipulative toys is to developing creativity, fine-motor skills, and problem solving.

Day 1 of Adventures in Early Childhood Education was a blast. We explored Art Adventures and Brilliant Building today and enjoyed dirt with worms for snack. The fun, laughter, and learning continues tomorrow with Outrageous Outdoor Play and Magnificent Manipulatives with a surprise “outdoorsy “ snack.
