Meet your E-Board!

Angelica, “Jelly”, currently serves as the team’s Public Relations Chair. She is in her third year of attending Pepperdine University, but she is currently on track to graduate a year early! She’s been very involved with Pepperdine since her sophomore year, serving on the executive board of Crossroads, Art Club, and Step Team in addition to her job on the Student Programming Board. Through these extracurriculars she’s found that graphic design is her passion, but really she loves anything in the realm of art. She plays 5 instruments, paints, draws, cooks, sews,—you name it, she’s probably dabbled. In all truth, her curiosity in the art realm is probably what led her to fall in love with Step Team. This Northern Californian Filipina wants to show that Step is for everyone!

Fun Fact: Jelly has a twin in Northern California! (No, they don’t look the same.)

Meet your E-Board!

Sarah currently serves as the team’s Social Chair. She is a junior at Pepperdine University, majoring in Media Production. When she tried stepping for the first time during her freshman year, she quickly fell in love. While she has minimal trained dancing experience, she has loved to dance ever since she was a little girl. Sarah is a very extroverted person, and thoroughly enjoys the rush of energy she gets from performing in front of large crowds. She has loved getting to know different people through the Step Team, and describes it as one of the highlights of her college experience thus far.

Fun fact: She was in orchestra for 6 years (started out playing the viola, and switched to the cello after 1.5 years). Also, her role model is Oprah, and she aspires to follow in her footsteps.

Sharra is currently one of the co-captains, creative directors, and team chaplain. She is a junior, majoring in International Studies with an emphasis in Management. Her hometown is Philadelphia, bornnnn and raised. She has been stepping since her senior year of high school, taking a break her sophomore year to study abroad in Shanghai, China, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She enjoys singing, writing songs and poetry, and of course, dancing and stepping!

Fun fact: She loves changing her hairstyles and doing other people’s hair.

Shanelle is currently one of the co-captains and creative directors. She is a sophomore, majoring in Psychology. She is a native of South Los Angeles. She has been stepping since middle school, and spent her high school years as captain of a competing step team which allowed her the opportunity to perform at various events throughout California. Although rather shy in person, she enjoys doing anything that allows her to be on stage!

Fun Fact: She absolutely loves musical theatre.
