The Carmel Bach Festival is one of the premier summer music festivals in the country, which features some of the most sought after vocalists and instrumentalists in the US and abroad for two weeks of intimate chamber music, and major masterwork, all set in one of the most beautiful destinations on the West Coast.
Each summer, four select vocalists from the Pepperdine music program participate in the festival as “choral fellows” through which they have the opportunity to prepare and perform major choral masterworks presented during the festival. They also have regular vocal coaching and masterclasses with the young artists and vocal staff, and they have an all-access pass to the variety of concerts and presentations which take place during the festival.
The honor comes with a generous stipend and no cost lodging for the duration.
This summer, alongside the direction of Dr. Ryan Board, Johnathan Hodges, Miara Williams, Emma Hirte, and Joshua Corey were granted these coveted positions. Congratulations to all! 🎊
