Support Our Scholars Support Our Scholars is a nonprofit organization that supports underprivileged, local young women as they pursue a four-year college degree.

Support Our Scholars is a nonprofit organization that supports underprivileged young women from the Central Florida area with extraordinary potential. Our organization selects young women at the top of their high school graduating class and mentors them throughout their four years of college and beyond. In order to prepare our Scholars for college, we partner each Scholar with a Mentor for her fou

r-year journey. Each Mentor helps her Scholar by mapping out a four-year plan, providing advice about courses and majors and serving as a confidante as difficulties arise. Additionally, we provide our students with a $10,000 stipend throughout their four years of college, pending good grades and contact with their Mentor. We also provide our Scholars with everything they need to begin their freshman year of college. We make sure our scholars have a laptop, bedding, winter clothing if they are going to school up north, and anything else they may need for their transition into college. It is very important to us that our girls go to college with dignity and do not feel inferior to their peers.

Our Scholars have returned to campuses across the country, and 11 of them are experiencing college for the very first time.

New classes. New roommates. New routines. New possibilities.

And while they are the ones doing the brave work of stepping into what comes next, they didn’t get here alone.

Behind each Scholar is a community of people who believed in her, invested in her, and chose to walk beside her.

To everyone who makes this journey possible, thank you. You may not be there for the first class or the late-night study session, but you are very much a part of her story.

First days. Fresh starts. Big dreams. 💗📚

For some of our Scholars, today is their very first day of college. For others, it’s the beginning of another year on a path no one in their family has walked before.

Different campuses. Different majors. Different dreams. But every one of these photos represents a young woman who worked incredibly hard to get here and has the courage to keep moving forward.

And the best part? She doesn’t have to walk that path alone.

Here’s to our Scholars, to everything that brought them to this moment, and to all that is waiting ahead. We are so proud of you. 💗

They’re headed back!
Across the country, our Scholars are unpacking dorm rooms, finding their classrooms, reconnecting with friends, and stepping into a brand-new semester.
For some, it’s their very first first day of college.
For others, it’s their last first day before they walk across the stage as college graduates.
And there are a whole lot of first days in between.
Each one represents another semester of hard work, growth, perseverance, and possibility.
To our Scholars: Whether this is your first first day, your last first day, or somewhere in the middle, your SOS family is cheering you on every step of the way.
