🔥 A friendly wave. A classroom visit. A spark of connection.

During National Principals’ Month, we’re celebrating Shannon Plemmons, principal of Maiden Elementary! This moment greeting students captures what fuels her fire: meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.

For Ms. Plemmons, the best part of being a principal is the community she serves—a school where everyone is cheering everyone on!

What IGNITES her? Working alongside a team committed to a shared vision and seeing students and staff succeed. From major accomplishments to small daily victories, she finds joy in celebrating progress together.

Her guiding quote:
💬 “You are in control of your life. There are four things you can control every day of your life: attitude, work ethic, how you treat others, and how you treat yourself.” — Pat Summitt

Thank you, Mrs. Plemmons, for IGNITING teamwork, celebrating everyday victories, and making meaningful connections at Maiden Elementary! 🔥💙

🧹🧽 We LOVE our custodians!🧽🧹

On Friday, our Maiden Eagles celebrated our amazing custodians with a special SPAM Time — STEM, PE, Art & Music! 🎨🎵🏃‍♀️🔬

Students had a BLAST participating in fun activities inspired by the important work our custodians do every day — from picking up trash and sweeping to racing their classmates with plungers for a little extra speed! 😂🏁

It was a fun-filled way to learn, laugh, and most importantly, show our appreciation for the people who work so hard to keep our school clean, safe, and ready for our students each day.

Thank you to our incredible custodians! We appreciate you more than you know!💙🦅

💙 Happy Principal Appreciation Month! 💙

We are so grateful for our wonderful principal Mrs. Plemmons! Thank you for your leadership, kindness, and dedication to our students, staff, and families.

We’re lucky to have her at Maiden Elementary ! 🌟

🎉 October is National Principals’ Month! 🍎✨

Behind every thriving school, empowered teacher, and inspired student is a dedicated principal who leads with passion, vision, and heart. Our principals wear countless hats every day—mentor, cheerleader, problem-solver, and community builder—working tirelessly to create spaces where everyone belongs and succeeds.

To celebrate, we are spotlighting one principal every day throughout the month! We asked our school leaders to share what they love most about their schools, what IGNITES their passion, and the words that keep them inspired.

Join us all month long as we share their reflections, celebrate their leadership, and show our gratitude. Be sure to check back daily!
