Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, the civil society representative chosen to speak last April to the UN during the vote on the Paris Climate Agreement, represents indigenous Africans affected by climate change at the UN and international forums. Hindou knows the face of climate change first hand. Back home, she works with her native community, the Mbororo pastoralists of Chad affected by the rapid desiccation of Lake Chad and spreading drought.
