INTRODUCE TEDDY — Teddy has heard all about the JOY of music and finally decided it’s time to take lessons.

🎻 Music is meant to be played together. ❤️

Today, five of our violin students came together for a Master Class — all different ages, all different skill levels, but making music together as one little ensemble.

And THIS is one of my favorite things about being part of a music studio.

You don’t just learn an instrument by yourself in a room. You get opportunities to play with other musicians, listen to each other, learn from each other, and experience what it feels like to be part of something bigger.

Because music is just more fun when you get to share it. 🎶

🥁🎉 DRUMROLL PLEASE… 🎉🥁

We’re excited to recognize our October Student of the Month at Leading Note Studios Magnolia! ⭐

Our featured drummer has been taking lessons with us since March, and it’s been so much fun watching his skills and confidence grow behind the kit! 🥁🎶

And there’s an extra exciting milestone coming up… his very FIRST recital this November! 🎤✨ We can’t wait to see him take the stage and show everyone what he’s been working on!

Congratulations on being our October Student of the Month! Keep playing, keep growing, and keep making some noise! 🥁

What if we stopped telling kids to practice their instrument and started asking them to play it? 🎹🎶

After years of saying, did you PRACTICE this week? I think it might be time for a change. 😳

Because practice sounds like homework but playing sounds like fun! 👍

So this week instead of saying, “go practice your piano”

Try:
“Go PLAY me something!”
“Go PLAY your favorite song”
“What can you PLAY for me?”

It’s a tiny change in words, but maybe a big change in how kids think about making music! 🎤🎶👏🏻

At Leading studios our goal has always been teaching the joy of music and joy sounds a whole lot more like PLAY then practice!

So who’s with me? Are we ready to retire the word practice?

Music lessons build so much more than musical skills. They teach confidence, focus, creativity, discipline, perseverance, communication and problem-solving—skills our kids will carry with them wherever their future takes them.
