Beaumont, TX, Fire Station Hit by Bullets 08/21/2024

Becoming all too common to hear about a fire station, fire apparatus or ambulance that has been shot at these days. Society needs to see that symbol as a refuge, a safe haven, even a solution to the societal woes.

Instead we are a target, a symbol of the oppression and an excuse to act out.

Why?

Is it the media stories of the firefighters or medics that failed to do their duty?

Is it the stories of fraud, assault, theft of medication or even embezzlement of funds?

There has to be a significant shift in how the community views us. Why?
