Today we celebrated Custodian Appreciation Day with breakfast tacos from ritascantinamxkitchen and treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes! We are so truly grateful for our kind, patient, hard working custodians and all they do around the Prairie. ❤️🐾

✨ Have you joined the PTO’s website and become a member on PTBoard yet? This is the most sure fire way to stay updated with all things PTO at Decker Prairie! Monthly events, needs for the classroom, links to purchase things like Fall Festival tickets and Cougar Blankets, and more, will all be available at the click of your fingertips!

You’ll also have the option to show your home address, email address, and phone number in our student directory. It’s a good way to connect with parents in your student’s classroom without worrying if your little darling child did actually give their friend the note you wrote with your number for their mom, or if it got lost on the Prairie. 😆 However, that is OPTIONAL! You can keep that information private if you prefer!

In addition to signing up for this FREE membership, you’ll also receive a FREE TISD 2026-2027 calendar magnet. This is so great to have on the fridge to help remember the school holidays and count down days until the next! (Y’all, we have so. many. magnets. Get on the website and join so we can get these off our hands!!) 🙌

🚨 Cougar Families!! 🚨

You know that one blanket? The “just in case” one that ends up getting used at a surprising rate? That ends up going to all the sporting events, sleepovers, spontaneous lawn parties, family movie nights on the couch, the one that the kids will fight over and you’ll ask why you didn’t buy two?

😏 We’ve got it. For sale now through OCTOBER 14, order your very own, very soft and cozy Tomball Cougars blanket! These will be in by the second week of December, just in time for a perfect holiday gift! As they are the exact design pictured below, they’re great for ALL the Cougars in your life, not just DPES! Gotta love a gift with staying power!

Since we are recommending these as gifts, we are going to keep the secret and will NOT send them home with your students! All blankets will be PICK UP ONLY, with that day/time coming at a later date, most likely the last week of school before Christmas break.

Keep warm for years to come with your own Cougar blanket, and order TODAY! 🐾🥰

🍫🍬🍭 CANDY WARS has begun!! Grab the biggest bag of candy you can get your paws on, and have your student drop them in their grade level Monster box in the front hallway! We’ll weigh them 10/2, 10/16, and 10/23 with the weightiest grade getting EXTRA RECESS! This is a HUGE way to help with the Fall Festival, so please donate if you can! ❤️🐾
