This week in Principles of Health Science students researched their dream career and made a poster of their information, plus detailed their “why” and a specific 10 step plan how they will achieve it! We’ve got a lot of amazing future health professionals in the mix! Today, we capped off the project with peer presentations and a chance for GLOWS and GROWS feedback! Now, who’s ready for fall break!?

Thank you MCHD for giving the best tours for the Magnolia ISD EMT students! Also bonus points for sending 2 former MWHS students that went through the same EMT program in 2019. Ashlyn and Kat are both now paramedics with MCHD and were able to share their tips and tricks with the students to help them be the best EMTs!

Medical Terminology students had a lab day practicing the knowledge they learned this week on body planes and directional terms. It included a little gummy bear surgery, sticky note labeling, and proper directional term sentence structure. These students are on the right path to be successful this year!
