Where do I even begin?

When Cary and I, alongside Jane Walls, may she rest in peace, started Texas Autism Academy in 2017, we had no idea what the future would hold. What we did know was that God had called us to this journey, so we stepped out in faith and trusted Him every step of the way.

The past nine years have brought incredible joy, countless blessings, and more challenges than we could have ever imagined. We’ve experienced overwhelming love and support, but we’ve also faced criticism, obstacles, and moments that could have made us walk away. Through it all, God has remained faithful.

There is nothing ordinary about this journey, and there is certainly nothing ordinary about the calling God placed on our hearts. Texas Autism Academy was built on faith, sustained by faith, and will continue to grow through faith.

As prepare for and celebrate the beginning of our 10th school year, our hearts are full. This year is especially meaningful as we prepare to celebrate our very first graduating class. A milestone that once felt like a distant dream and is now becoming a reality.

To every student, family, staff member, volunteer, and supporter who has believed in our mission, thank you for being part of this journey.

Here’s to 10 years of faith, perseverance, purpose, and lives forever changed.

Kaylie is a licensed cosmetologist who is passionate about helping every client feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. She specializes in haircuts, fades, and braided styles for all hair types. With experience working with students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum, Kaylie understands the importance of patience, compassion, and creating a calm, welcoming environment. She takes the time to listen to each client’s needs and works at their pace to ensure a positive, stress-free experience for every child and family.
