Exciting news for the April swim. We have added a new distance. If you are looking to "Swim the Distance" before Ironman Texas we will now offer a 3.8km (2.4mile) swim as part of the Snapping Tortuga.

We are looking forward to another great race as we head into the 14th year of the Snapping Tortuga.

The Recovery like the rest of the stroke is interconnected. A very efficient swim stroke is a full bodied, connected, coordinated movement. The Recovery can have a big impact on the catch and the pull that comes after it.

Alignment in the body is critical for efficient swimming. Part of the foundation of that alignment is keeping the head still and in-line with your spine. Whichever direction the head points the body will follow. Be aware of your engagement up and down the stroke and keep your head still and relaxed in the water.
