🎉 Meet Our New Magnolia Middle Staff! 🎉

Our New Staff Spotlight continues, and today we’re excited to welcome a longtime member of the Rider family to Magnolia Middle!

💙 Say hello to Mrs. Kathryn Burnett-Klebart!

Mrs. Burnett-Klebart brings an incredible 21 years of teaching experience in the Caesar Rodney School District, spending all 21 years at Allen Frear Elementary School! She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education through Utah State University and Delaware State University, followed by a master’s degree in Special Education from Concordia University.

A proud Caesar Rodney High School graduate, Mrs. Burnett-Klebart’s Rider roots run deep! Both of her children are CR graduates, and now her grandchildren are continuing the family tradition as members of the Rider community. 💙

One of her favorite parts of being an educator is the opportunity to remain a lifelong learner and grow alongside her students. As she begins this exciting new chapter at Magnolia Middle, she looks forward to building meaningful relationships with our students and staff and continuing to make a difference in the Rider community.

Outside of school, Mrs. Burnett-Klebart loves spending time with her children and grandchild, especially cheering on her granddaughter at her soccer and volleyball games! She also enjoys trips to the beach, camping, traveling, and making memories with family and friends.

Magnolia Middle School and the Caesar Rodney School District are excited to welcome Mrs. Evanthia Filiou as the new principal of Magnolia Middle School.

Mrs. Filiou brings more than a decade of educational leadership experience, having served as an English teacher, literacy specialist, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to creating rigorous, supportive learning environments where students, staff, and families thrive together.

Mrs. Filiou is excited to join the Caesar Rodney School District and become part of the Magnolia Middle School family. She looks forward to building strong relationships with students, families and staff, while supporting the District's mission of preparing every student to achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential.

Our MMS students and alumni made us proud at the Delaware State Fair!

From early mornings to long days in the show ring, their hard work, dedication, and passion were on full display. We love seeing our current students and MMS alumni representing our community and showcasing the skills they've developed through their commitment to agriculture and animal care.

💙 Serving Our Community, One Event at a Time! 💙

Our Magnolia Middle School NJHS students have been busy making a difference in our community!

Last Saturday, our members volunteered at the Dover Air Force Base Sprint Triathlon, where they helped count swim laps, time runners, hand out water, and cheer on participants throughout the event. They also lent a helping hand at the Wyoming Peach Festival, assisting with festival clean-up and ensuring the event wrapped up successfully.
