’Twas the night before Medieval Presentations,
and all through the house,
MCA students were prepping,
as quiet as a mouse.

The costumes were ready,
the projects were too,
With knights, kings, and castles
and history to do!

Tomorrow they’ll gather,
their learning to share,
Bringing the Middle Ages to life
with excitement and flair!

What makes MCA different?

It’s hard to sum it up in just one thing, because so much of what makes MCA special is found in the way our students experience learning each day.

We believe education is about more than completing assignments or mastering material. It’s about cultivating curiosity, building meaningful relationships, developing wisdom and character, and helping students discover a genuine love of learning.

Our small class sizes allow teachers to truly know their students. Our classical, Christian approach encourages children to ask questions, think deeply, engage in meaningful conversation, and see God’s truth woven throughout their education. And through our hybrid model, parents remain an important part of that experience, partnering with teachers as we come alongside each child.

We want our students to grow not only in what they know, but in who they are becoming.

That’s the heart behind MCA. 🤍

School tours are back at MCA!

Beginning September 24th, we’ll be opening our doors once a month on Thursdays for families who want to experience Magnolia Classical Academy firsthand.

If you’ve wondered what classical education looks like in the classroom, how our hybrid model works, or what it really means for parents and teachers to partner together in a child’s education, this is the perfect opportunity to come see it for yourself.

Walk through our classrooms. See the hands-on learning taking place. Meet our teachers. Learn more about the difference between classical and traditional education, and discover why we believe this approach provides such a rich foundation for a lifetime of learning.

I was a public school teacher AND a technology specialist, and I never expected how much my opinion would change.

But I have done a complete 180.

One of my favorite things about classical education is how much learning happens through books. Literature isn’t limited to one class. Books are woven into history, science, and so much of what they’re learning.

And I’ve watched the difference it has made in my own children. Their vocabulary, writing, comprehension, and ability to think deeply about what they’re learning has grown so much.

Add in less technology and more reading, writing, discussion, and conversation, and I’ve come to really appreciate this way of learning.

I will always be grateful for my years in public education, but seeing classical education through the eyes of my own children has completely changed my perspective.
