When you come to SAU, you'll interact with world-class faculty! It's time to spotlight some of our award winners from the spring. Professor Michael Britt was awarded the College's outstanding teaching award. Under his leadership and instruction, our percussion students have achieved national recognition through participation in Drum Corps International, Winter Guard International, and top placements in Percussive Arts Society competitions. As one nominator wrote, "It is not an understatement when I say that he teaches the students in that class (percussion methods) during a semester more than any other school I am aware of. I have seen brass players from his class teach percussion in public schools that have a percussion specialist.” We are extremely proud to have Professor Britt and his students as part of the Dempsey College!
