Today July 29th is GGM Braulio Pedoy's rosary day. Please take a moment and give him a salute and send a prayer. He was recognized by the Hawaii legislature in HR633 as an Escrima Extraordinaire. His legacy and teachings are strong in the various Derobio schools from Hawaii to the US east coast. Long Live Pedoy Style Derobio Escrima. 🐴🐴🐴

I received this certificate of appreciation and the coco bolo kris from Batikan Eduardo Pedoy in Jan 1995. It was awarded for managing the Hawaii main branch (master's school) of the Pedoy School at OSP (old stadium park) in Honolulu. I held that position till 2002 when the main branch moved back to Waipahu. Those were great years discovering how Derobio resembled but yet was different than other FMA systems and other martial arts. I ran a totally open class; anyone could come and train regardless of experience or affiliations and we had visitors from around the world bringing their respective arts with them. All of that training was influential when we opened Ola'a-Nalo in 2005. 🤙🤙🤙

Pedoy School of Derobio Escrima, every class opened and closed with a salute and a prayer. A tradition that is carried on in every Derobio school to this day.
