If you know of anyone who is great with children and looking for a career, Hopkins County Schools Early Childhood (Madisonville, Ky.) program is in need of classroom instructional assistants and substitute teachers. Minimum qualifications for instructional assistants: 1. High school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.B.D. as required by Ky law. 2. Must pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment (KPA) in accordance with state regulations OR have 48 accredited college hours. 3. One year experience in working with children in an organized setting (preferred). Minimum qualifications for substitute teachers: 1. Ky substitute certificate, teacher's license, or other legal credential (or a bachelor's degree or higher). 2. Minimum of 64 college credit hours with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. 3. Experience and such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
