Our playground got a MAJOR upgrade 🤩🤩🤩

Metcalfe Landscaping has always done such an incredible job taking care of us, and we no longer have to worry about a muddy playground thanks to them!

The turf looks incredible, and we couldn’t be more thankful!

As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we will be adding several intentional team members to our school family.

At Mira, we value team members who appreciate the Montessori philosophy, are exceptionally patient, self-aware enough to reflect and grow, open to learning, and who genuinely have a deep love for working with young children.

This work matters deeply, and the adults in a child’s environment have the power to leave a lasting impact every single day.

Training for selected candidates will begin at the end of July, with positions officially beginning in August as we prepare for the new school year.

One of our students’ favorite parts of summer is officially around the corner… Water Days begin next week! 🌊🩵

We’ve set aside a few special days throughout the summer for extra fun, sunshine, and memory-making with friends.

Please save these dates and make sure your child comes prepared so they can fully enjoy the fun!

Don’t forget:
🩴 Beach towel labeled with your child’s name
👙 Swimsuit + cover-up worn to school
🎒 Extra dry clothes in a labeled gallon bag inside backpack
☀️ Sunscreen applied before arrival

This week, flyers went home for our Battle of the Classrooms and we are so excited to kick things off!

Many of you know this tradition as Wishlist War… but this year we’re making it even bigger.

This year you’ll notice more classroom essentials instead of lots of Montessori materials. Over the years we’ve worked hard building beautiful prepared environments, but there are always everyday essentials needed to keep our school running smoothly.

We’ve been in operation since 2021, and over the years we’ve accumulated an attic overflowing with Montessori materials that allow us to rotate and refresh our classrooms throughout the school year. 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Because of that, our Amazon Wishlist is now filled mostly with the practical items we find ourselves purchasing again and again to keep our school running smoothly!

📦 How it works:

• The Wishlist War begins on Amazon Prime Day, June 23rd, and runs through July 23rd.

• If Amazon allows you to mark an item as a gift, please be sure to include your Mira student’s name on the gift tag.

• If an item cannot be marked as a gift, please have it shipped to yourself (or to the Mira family you are donating on behalf of) and bring it to the school so we can ensure your class receives credit.

🏆 Every donated item earns points for your child’s class, and we keep a running tally throughout the month.

🎉 The winning class will receive ONE WEEK OF FREE TUITION! 🎉
