It’s that time of year again! Our annual Airport Appreciation Day! We will be offering airplane rides for $40 per person. There will also be a plane at our booth for you to get up close and personal with! Tickets will be available the day of the event and be available for purchase starting at 10am! If you are wanting to fly early make sure you stop by first thing as our list does fill up! We hope to see you there!
The event will be held at Monroe County Airport located in Madisonville, TN on September 5th!

Bittersweet news for us — our instructor Austin has officially been hired by SkyWest Airlines!

Austin came to us about three and a half years ago with one goal: make it to the airlines. Over the next 1.5 years, he earned his Private, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI certificates through steady hard work and determination. He then spent two years instructing, mentoring students, and building the experience needed to reach his airline minimums.

Today, that dedication has paid off.

We couldn’t be more proud of the pilot, instructor, and person he’s become. The airlines are gaining an exceptional aviator, and we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes him.

Something big is coming!

We recently purchased our first multi engine trainer, the Piper Twin Comanche! We will soon be able to provide training for people wishing to get their multiengine add on and multi engine instructor! We will also be providing multi engine time build options as well! We will have a flat cost for you to get your multi engine licenses or an hourly rate if you are wanting to build time! We are currently doing some upgrades to the airplane and hope to have it flying soon! We will keep you all updated and if you are interested feel free to call anytime!

New rules have come out for Sport Pilot license!

The Sport Pilot license will allow many people that were not eligible or was cost prohibitive to complete their pilot license!

The Sport Pilot is more limiting than a private pilot license, however you can get many of the same privileges that private pilots have!

The sport pilots license requires only 20 hours instead of 40 that the private pilot license requires cutting the cost in haft!

Not only that! But instead of having to get a medical, as long as you retain a drivers license that’s all you need!

Congratulations to Dalton for passing his Private Pilot Checkride! Dalton has been with us since he was 14 and has been working hard ever since starting! He soloed at 16 and got his private at 17! He’s working toward his commercial license so when he turns 18 he’ll be ready for the checkride! We are extremely proud of how far he’s come and can’t wait to see what the future of aviation holds for him!
