The 2025-2026 school year might be over, but we are excited to continue celebrating the accomplishments of our students!
This was the first year MCS offered an Additive Manufacturing Program at Bob Jones and James Clemens High Schools, and it has been an amazing experience!
Introduction to Manufacturing students had the opportunity to use state-of-the-art industry equipment, including a Stratasys 3D printer, while exploring the engineering design process, precision, teamwork, innovation, and leadership. Hands-on projects included 3D printing Lego brick rings, designing and printing wheels, optimizing designs for speed, developing ideas and creating 3D-printed game boards, and all kinds of creative design challenges.
3D Solid Modeling students created impressive printed Saturn V models and focused on developing precision modeling skills, job-ready technical abilities through group projects, presentations, and innovation design projects.
A special thank you to our industry partners at MTM, Auburn University Applied Research Institute, and Toyota of Alabama for helping make this first year such a success through your guidance, guest speakers, and mentorship.
We are excited to share that 3D Solid Modeling II will be added for the 2026–2027 school year!
