🌟 Meet Our First-Ever Chadwell Champ! 🌟

A HUGE shoutout to Adley, our very first Chadwell Champ! 🧡💙🐿️

Each week, our Related Arts team will nominate six Chadwell Chipmunks who are shining examples of being trailblazers of their own learning through the CHIPMUNK CODE: ROCK!

R — Respect Others
O — Own Your Actions
C — Care for Others
K — Keep It Safe

Our admin team then looks for students who are demonstrating leadership throughout our common spaces: including the hallways, playground, and cafeteria. Finally, we connect with the student’s classroom teacher to make sure they are consistently living out the Chipmunk Code in the classroom, too!

Adley set the bar high as our first Chadwell Champ! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to celebrate our next Chipmunk who is ROCKing it! 🧡💙🐿️

Adventure is calling! We’re excited to share an opportunity for our Chadwell Chipmunks to get involved with Scouting Programs for Boys and Girls through Scouting America! 🏕️🚀🏹

The countdown is on, and we can’t wait to welcome our Chadwell families Monday, August 10, for Back-to-School Open House!

This year, we’re setting off on an exciting new journey as Trailblazers of Our Own Learning! 🌎📚✨
📍 4:00 PM — Meet us in the cafeteria
We’ll kick off our journey by introducing our 2026–2027 Chadwell teachers and staff and sharing a few important updates for the year ahead.

Then, families are invited to:
🎒 Visit your child’s new classroom
👋 Meet their teacher
🗺️ Explore our school and get ready for the journey ahead
🤝 Connect with community partners and resources
🍧 Enjoy some fun along the way!

We are pleased to introduce another incredible addition to our Chadwell faculty this year. Join us in giving a big Chadwell welcome to our newest 4th grade Math teacher, Mrs. Sharron Burrus! 🧡💙🐿️

Mrs. Burrus brings her heart for teaching all the way from Virginia Beach. She enjoys building a classroom where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and every student feels seen. She believes every child walks in with unique gifts and unlimited potential.

When she's not teaching, you'll find her cheering on grandkids from the sidelines, curled up with a Hallmark movie, traveling somewhere new, or rooting for the Cowboys on Sundays (we'll forgive her for that one 😉).

Join us for the Maplewood Cluster Bash on August 3rd, where you'll enjoy free food, music, games, and school supplies (while they last).

Then, mark your calendars for Back to School Night on August 10th at 4pm at Chadwell Elementary, where you'll meet our amazing new faculty and staff, and then meet your child's teacher(s) for the 26-27 school year! We can't wait to see you there!

As you prepare for an exciting 2026–2027 school year, we want to remind everyone of the updated Metro Nashville Public Schools elementary school schedule.

🕗 Doors Open: 7:55 AM
🎒 School Begins: 8:10 AM (Students should be in their classrooms and ready to learn!)
🏫 Dismissal: 3:10 PM

Please plan your morning and afternoon routines accordingly to help your child arrive on time and ready for a great day of learning.

We're excited to introduce another amazing new member of Team Chadwell. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Reuter! 🧡💙

Ms. Reuter joins our 3rd Grade ELA team with nine years of experience in Metro Nashville Public Schools and a deep passion for literacy and student success. Her dedication to helping students develop strong reading skills and a love of learning will be a tremendous asset to our school community.

We're so excited to have her as part of the Chadwell team and can't wait to see the positive impact she'll make with our students, families, and staff this year.

Help us give a big Chadwell Chipmunk welcome to Ms. Burr! 🧡💙

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Burr to our 5th Grade team this school year! Originally from the Niagara Falls area, she brings two years of experience as a special education teacher and is excited to begin this new chapter with Metro Nashville Public Schools. She brings valuable teaching experience, a passion for helping students succeed, and an enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships in the classroom. Ms. Burr will be teaching 5th grade ELA this year.

We know she is going to be a wonderful addition to the Chadwell family, and we can’t wait for our students and families to get to know her.
