Our spring recital was beautiful in every way! What a wonderful group of students! We got lots of photos, including some fun, silly poses! 😛

The show went on, despite the ten missing students who were at Space Camp or in Florida with the Discovery Band! They can perform in the next recital! 🎶 🎵

Congrats to Kate Hilderbrand for receiving the Maestro Award 🥇, and Iris Stockwell, Kashvi Gandhi, and Arya Shirgurkar for receiving the Virtuoso Award 🥈! Keep up the great work!

We are pleased to announce we have opened Mondays in the studio and have added another piano and trumpet teacher! 🎹 🎺 🎶

Joshua has years of private teaching experience and has helped students place at state-level competitions. He is working on his music education degree at The University of North Alabama, studying trumpet and piano. He has achieved President’s List/4.0 all 6 semesters and is a part of the Honor’s College.

Joshua has performed with the Alabama All-State Band, All-State Orchestra, Huntsville Symphony, and Shoals Symphony. He has performed on Carnegie Hall, marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, placed as a finalist in the Shoals Symphony Solo Artist Competition, placed as a semi-finalist in the International Trumpet Guild, and placed in pre-limbs at the National Trumpet Competition.

Most recently, he received a scholarship for the International Trumpet Guild at Eastman School of Music in New York. He was also accepted into Belmont School of Music and was offered full scholarships to MSU, Auburn, and UNA.

At the collegiate level, he has studied piano, theory, and trumpet under Dr. Yi-Min Cai from Manhattan School of Music, Dr. Martin Hebel from Cincinnati Conservatory, Dr. William Hueholt from Florida State University, Dr. Joseph Gray from University of New Mexico and University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music.

He received Alabama APT’s Young Hero Award, won Youth Entrepreneur of the Year for Alabama, was presented with a Hero Award at the International Peace Laureate Conference in Merida, Mexico, and was voted Top 100 Students at JCHS in Madison.

We are proud of Joshua for all of his accomplishments but are even MORE impressed with what an amazing TEACHER he is (and has always been.) We are thrilled to have him on staff!
