Because families have less time together, fewer children participate in civic, after-school and faith based groups, and declining school resources are more focused on core academ

ics. Fewer kids are learning the character values and skills necessary to truly succeed in school, in work and in life. Character Moxie’s mission is to change that by providing every public and private middle school in the United States with the most engaging, scalable and proven Character Value program resource, WeBelieve in Schools.

"..the reason girls often suppress their humor in adolescence is that it’s seen as alpha behavior. Someone holding the mic or getting the last word is not displaying traditional feminine behavior. A good girl doesn’t make anybody uncomfortable. Doesn’t take up too much space.”

In adolescence, girls are discouraged from deploying their sense of humor. That’s bad, for everyone.
