Day in the life of Flourish Middle School

Last week during Fall Break, we hosted free drop-in workshops for middle schoolers curious about project-based learning. Project #1: stratovolcanoes - their structure & mechanisms, then building volcano models and creating a caldera post-eruption. Project #2: maps and scale, including a scavenger hunt through world atlases, then creating scale maps of the campus playground using students' steps as the unit of measure. Project-based learning is a blast!
