During chapel this morning, we kicked off our 2026–27 spiritual emphasis:

“Shine for His Glory”

This verse is based on Matthew 5:14–16. Students were reminded that Jesus is the true Light of the world, and because we belong to Him, we are called to let His light shine through our everyday words and actions so that others see Christ and give glory to our Father in heaven. ✨

What a great first week back! We are so excited to be together again and diving into another year of learning, growing, and making memories!

Our 2026–2027 Spiritual Emphasis is Shine for His Glory, based on Matthew 5:14–16.

Parents, we encourage you to take some time throughout the year to ask your students what they’re learning and talking about. Ask them how they can shine for His glory in their classrooms, homes, friendships, and communities.

We’re looking forward to seeing how God works through our students as they Shine for His Glory! ✨

Our full-day preschool class is having such a great week back!

How fun to learn, explore, and make memories together—from gym and music class to creating art and, of course, having lots of fun with friends! We’re loving seeing all the smiles as our preschoolers settle into another wonderful year at HPCS!

Yesterday, we kicked off a brand-new school year with Meet the Teachers and Parent Night! It was so great to see so many familiar faces back in the building! We can’t wait to welcome our HPCS students tomorrow for the first day of school!

📸 Don’t forget! Picture Day is Monday, August 24!

During Meet the Teachers, all HPCS students and staff will have the opportunity to get their pictures taken between 11:00 AM–1:00 PM.
Be sure to pick up a picture card when you arrive!

In addition to getting classrooms ready this week, our HPCS staff had the opportunity to kick off the school year with a day of professional development through the Impact Christian Schools Network.

This day with Impact Christian Schools reminded us of the privilege we have to welcome, reach, and intentionally scaffold every child God entrusts to us. The morning included worship, prayer, a devotional from Dr. Jason Jensen, and a keynote and workshop with Jim McKenzie focused on helping every student feel Seen, Known, and Loved.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, connect with other Christian educators, and prepare our hearts and classrooms for the year ahead.

We are just ONE short week away from our Meet the Teachers & Parent Orientation! 🎉

We kicked off our first day of teacher in-service meetings today, and there’s already so much excitement, planning, and preparation happening behind the scenes!

Our teachers are getting their classrooms ready, making plans, learning together, and preparing to welcome our students back for a wonderful new school year.
