ate's degree program addresses nursing values, the nursing process, health promotion and maintenance, nursing roles, therapeutic communication skills and competent nursing care. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for and take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX®) for licensure as a registered nurse. Graduates who successfully pass the NCLEX exam may pursue careers as registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings. Online RN-BSN Program
The Bachelor of Science degree program in Nursing (BSN) for registered nurses has a management and leadership focus and provides opportunities for students to explore various topics in healthcare management, including case management, managed healthcare and healthcare business management. Each course runs either 6 weeks or 12 weeks. All of your books and online course materials are included in your tuition cost. The BSN program has a single precepted clinical component, usually in the final quarter, that the student is responsible for arranging and obtaining. The clinical can be conducted at many types of healthcare facilities, possibly even where the student works. The Breckinridge School of Nursing is part of ITT Technical Institute, which is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
